Marta earned her BS and MS at the University of New Hampshire. She has worked with children in the school setting for 13 years with a focus on gaining functional skills for increased independence and meaningful participation throughout the school day. She currently provides direct services at Maple Wood Elementary in Somersworth. For the past 7 years, she has served as the OT/ PT Program Director at Strafford Learning Center where she has been a member of the leadership and technology committees. Marta is currently a co-facilitator working to bring Every Moment Counts, an OT lead initiative focused on promoting positive mental health, to the state of New Hampshire. When not at work her interests include cooking, reading and chasing her three small children.

Brooke Cournoyer

Brooke received her Masters in physical therapy and Doctorate of physical therapy from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Brooke works 1 day a week for SLC up in Wakefield, NH at the Paul School. She also works for Frisbie Memorial Hospital outpatient rehab service 2 days a week, specializing in Pediatrics, Women’s Health and Orthopedics. She enjoys working with children and maximizing their FUNctional potential to help them lead the wonderful life that they were born to live! Brooke also leads a very busy lifestyle at home with her family and 3 little active boys.

Christine Fortin

Christine has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 30 years. She graduated from Becker College in 1987 with an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked throughout her years in home care, acute care, clinic and school-based settings. Christine has worked for Strafford Learning Center for 16 years. She supports all PTs on staff traveling between multiple schools seeing students of all ages and abilities. Christine is an active member of SLC’s Wellness Committee. Christine is a certified Pilates instructor and an avid sewer. Christine enjoys outdoor adventures such as kayaking and hiking with her family.

Caroline King

Caroline received her physical therapy degree at Russell Sage College in NY in 1983 and started working with adults in rehab setting, specializing in brain injury and spinal cord patients. In 1987, started working with pediatrics in home, school and clinic settings and have loved working with children, their families and teaching staff ever since. Currently, work in preschool through high school settings and am always inspired by my students and their families! Caroline has been with SLC for 25 years and has served as a mentor for many. She enjoys quilting, kayaking, and gets the grandma of the year award.

Monica Muldoon

Monica is a Physical Therapist who works with children who have disabilities in the public school system. She has worked for Strafford Learning Center for two years. Monica has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 17 years, focusing on helping her patients to be independent in their home, school, and community. She graduated from Springfield College in May 2000 with both a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Monica’s areas of focus have included working in schools and skilled rehab facilities throughout NH, MA, and CT. Monica enjoys working with kids and has been working in schools as a school-based PT for over 7 years. In her free time, Monica enjoys going to the beach, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her family.

Christine Parrotta

Chris has worked for SLC for 14 years. She graduated from Northeastern University. Her previous work experience includes staff Physical Therapist at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her specialties while there included chest physical therapy. For Strafford Learning Center she currently serves the districts of Dover, Barrington, and Oyster River. Chris works closely with Chris Fortin, PTA, to provide child centered therapy with a focus on assisting students with accessing their school environment. She is also an active member of SLC’s Wellness Committee.

Krissy graduated from Husson University in 2011 with her Doctorate in physical therapy and bachelors in kinesiology. She has been working in skilled nursing facilities and local school systems in NH. Krissy enjoys working in creative and energetic environments that facilitate individual growth wellness and improved quality of life for her clientele. Krissy is interested in learning more about yoga and mindfulness for those with special needs. Outside of work Krissy enjoys spending time with her family going to the beach traveling and exploring the outdoors.
